Celebrating Mexican heritage, scores turn out to Longmont’s Cinco de Mayo event

LONGMONT, Colo. — A mariachi band played in the background and vendors served out Mexican food at Longmont’s seventh annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration in Roosevelt Park.

The party has become a celebration of culture while also being one of many festivals in Longmont that promotes a family atmosphere and provides a great place to take children. More than 100 people attended Saturday’s event.
